Annual General Meeting

The Annual General Meeting of the company will be held on Friday 24 October 2008 at 2.30pm at the Sydney Harbour Marriott Hotel, Thohmas Keneally Room, 30 Pitt Street, Sydney, New South Wales, Australia.

Chairman's Report

The past financial year presented a number of challenges to Wattyl. Australia and New Zealand experienced continuing difficult trading conditions as housing activities in both markets remained at the bottom of the cycle for the fourth consecutive year.

Managing Director's Report

In addition to the economic situation, two significant changes in the market commenced with one corporate retailer signalling their intention to exit the paint sector and another announcing their plans to introduce imported paint. Although trading conditions have been difficult we have completed a number of important market initiatives.

Wattyl Colour Designer is our new colour offer which will be released into the Australian marketplace late 2008. This unique colour selection tool assists customers to select colours in a more 'consumer friendly' manner, addressing an area where consumers currently lack confidence.
